We have 2 bedrooms:

1 twin/double with a large en-suite shower room with toilet, wash handbasin and under-floor heating; and

1 twin with sole use of a large downstairs shower room with toilet and wash handbasin.

 

As well as warm, comfortable accommodation with good food we also have:

  • a self-contained house of considerable charm and character
  • modern facilities with a large en-suite shower room; or sole use of a large downstairs shower room
  • use of WiFi connection
  • a totally refurbished house, modernised in 2009
  • a pleasant and private garden, with close view of the National Wallace Monument 
  • tea and coffee making facilities 24-hours a day
  • a mini-fridge to keep small quantities of fresh milk and your sandwiches or snacks for tomorrow's lunch
  • we can provide a packed lunch for you on request
  • undercover storage for bicycles
  • a colour TV with Freeview in each bedroom and the lounge
  • a hairdryer in each room
  • blackout curtains for those very early sunrises in June and July and to help the children sleep

  • an extensive breakfast menu which uses mainly local produce
  • compliance with modern fire regulations, to improve your safety
  • a situation on a quiet road with beautiful views to Callendar and the highlands in the north, Bridge of Allan and the University of Stirling to the east, and the Wallace Monument to the south east

  • a local bus service which stops outside, to take you into the centre of Stirling
  • hire of a bicycle, if you are feeling energetic
  • a drying room for wet-weather clothes
  • an iron and ironing board
  • parking in the driveway for 2 cars, otherwise on-street parking directly outside;
  • if you are feeling hungry when you arrive, we serve afternoon tea/coffee with home made cakes between 2pm - 6pm (charge of £3 per person)

You undoubtedly will be unable to resist looking at Iona Crawford's pictures on the walls. These have been done especially for Fraser's by this talented young local artist and designer - see http://www.ionacrawford.com for some of her other exhibits.

 

If you fancy a quiet evening in, we have a range of board games and DVDs for adults and children. You can also curl up with a good book from our small library. 

 

We have completed a history of the house which is presented as pictures on the lounge wall.

We are very easy to reach: 2 miles from the M9 motorway to Glasgow or Edinburgh; 2 miles from the A9 to Perth, Dundee and the north; 1.5 miles from Stirling train and bus stations with direct services to London.
